Home Games is a broken fairytale depicting a crucial moment in the life of Alina, a 20-year-old „million dollar baby“ from Kyiv, whose passion for football has a chance of saving her from poverty.
The film is a collective portrait of seven outstanding women in modern Ukrainian culture: writer Alina is on the verge of playing for the Ukrainian national team. Then her mother dies and she is left alone with two small siblings. Will her dream of playing professional football withstand this new challenge?
